For example: in the pilot episode, Rose panics about the turbulence, but in this episode Jack does. Cindy gives Jack one bottle instead of two, and he spills some of it. Hurley says he's the luckiest guy around and that nothing bad happens to him... The thing that really stands out for me is the fact that some people - Jack especially - seem to be mildly aware that something is not right on the plane. Why is his neck bleeding for example? Also Desmond being there doesnt add up, Jack recognises him but Desmond doesnt remember Jack. And the last thing, Is Sayid now Jacob ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In the alt universe Widmore is almost certainly dead so Desmond wouldn't have gone on his round the world sail, wouldn't have needed to do the stadium run and would never have met Jack. With Widmore dead there would be no Abbadon to inspire him to go on his walkabout. Where did Hurley get his lottery numbers from? With no Island Leonard wouldn't have heard the transmission coming from there so couldn't have told Hurley.
