Let me know how you get on with the OCUK bundle. I bought a pre overclocked 2600K bundle from Scan.co.uk and they did the shittest job on the overclock. they whacked it right up to 1.40 volts, and didn't change anything else

Ran over 90 degrees using prime and they told me this was "normal"

So i got a refund on the extra i paid for the overclock and did it myself.

How much have you budgeted for the PSU and GPU?

Bought a Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2UK Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 High Performance 750W Power Supply for £86.07 (a bit of overkill I know, but dont wanna by hassled if i need to change it.

The graphics card - hmm I dont know i want to play Skyrim and other new games, but I am not sure of how much to spend

Quite like the idea of possibly buying one card now and then buying another card and SLI-ing them later, does this work well?

That PSU is fine. Definately worth getting a good one I've found as cheaper ones cause all sorts of problems down the road.

Cant help you with SLI but I'd steer clear of cross-fire. I crossfired 2 x 6870's together and had problems with microstutter.

If you've got the money, go for a GTX570 or GTX580. My 580 works great with Skyrim on ultra. I had a 6970 and had stuttering problems with Skyrim indoors on any graphics settings.

Much difference between the 1gig and 2 gig cards?

GTX570 would be a good one. Would play any game at 1920x1080 and you could SLI another cheap once the next gen Nvidia cards come out

The 5 series Nvidia cards don't seem to suffer with microstutter (from my experience), but every gen before did. And i've had a LOT of them!

Gone for a 5870 - hmmm this has cost more than I thought LOL

5870 is a good card, better than the 6870. I owned one for a few years and it was one of the best cards I've ever had. You'll probably need to run at high settings rather than ultra and drop the AA down or disable it in game but it should see you right.

Sorry I meant to say a GTX 570 - hopefully I will be able to run everything tip top speed.

Hopefully should all be here on Friday, the Ben permitting!

What's the score with hooking up to a HD tv rather than a monitor?

Mini Bazcabs has picked this lot out, comments welcome.
