Though, anyone who knows the history of pubs on the Island know they are highly flammable during recession....note: not implying anything for any do-gooders. I was merely referencing the Queen's Hotel in Ramsey, Snaefell Summit and Dhoon Glen...

 

I think comments like these aren't appropriate. This is a successful and popular business who's just had some very bad luck and doesn't need any kind of gossip adding to their woes.

Well there's a history of this sort of thing on the Island...

 

Having been in Jaks a few times I must say it's always been a pleasant experience, as Slim says it's a shame but with luck they'll be well insured.

If there was anywhere on the rock that doesn't need to do anything dodgy with a match it's that place. The place is always busy and makes a packet. Must be the busiest pub on the island by far. They'd lose in a week being closed what some pubs make in a year.
