Slim
Though, anyone who knows the history of pubs on the Island know they are highly flammable during recession....note: not implying anything for any do-gooders. I was merely referencing the Queen's Hotel in Ramsey, Snaefell Summit and Dhoon Glen... I think comments like these aren't appropriate. This is a successful and popular business who's just had some very bad luck and doesn't need any kind of gossip adding to their woes.

GD4ELI
Recession biting? What a twattish post. Tosser Well there's a history of this sort of thing on the Island... Having been in Jaks a few times I must say it's always been a pleasant experience, as Slim says it's a shame but with luck they'll be well insured. Barrie Stevens
I cleaned in Jaks for a while when working for a contractor...All that needless brass and stupidly expensive wooden dance floor they had that we took great pains to maintain...Nice lunches though...Looks like my curse worked...Just a little slow that's all..... AcousticallyChallenged
Quote from the Constabulary Further update re: Loch Prom fire. The MEA do not believe that there will be any further power outages as a result of this incident. The Fire Service and Police are now standing down. No casualties reported. Thanks to all for their understanding and assistance. It's good nobody was hurt.

Lxxx
If there was anywhere on the rock that doesn't need to do anything dodgy with a match it's that place. The place is always busy and makes a packet. Must be the busiest pub on the island by far. They'd lose in a week being closed what some pubs make in a year.
