    Firm closing

Part of my life growing up near Ramsey, sad to see that store come to an end.
  2. At my ASDA we have ~30 scan & pay requiring just two members of staff and they take up far less room than a serviced till. Getting checkout staff isn't easy, we have many pensioners on zero-hour contracts which they love. Work ~20 hours a week, discount on what you buy, earn roughly as much as the state pension.
  3. Your opinion. Saves time & money, what's not to like?
  4. Indeed there is. Very, very popular at my local ASDA.

  9. Doubt it - plenty here accessed via tracks.
  10. Plenty of 60+ police in Switzerland. They take pride in keeping themselves fit. Any who can no longer be on patrol work in the station, generally customer-facing. There's no excuse for being a fat slob.
  11. How about moderating creation of new threads?
  12. Did it online from home, took a few minutes, few days later new passport.
  13. No. Just being ripped off as usual. Blind leading the blind etc.
  14. AKA the real world.
  15. No it isn't, it's £4.30 for every £100 customers spend. Most shareholders are pension funds.
  16. Actually £2.49 billion on a turnover of £57.6 billion. Another way of looking at this is a profit of 4.3% on sales.
  17. That's clever stuff. DeLorean maybe?

    Weather

Well, if you want to hold back the water to avoid flooding then look at the measures taken in the alpine areas of Europe.
  19. Company cars are a way of avoiding tax, this stops it.
