So its the season again, and all the predictions are suggesting this is going to be a busy one, Already on the third named storm, good chance of hearing the name Cristobal in the news a fair bit soon, maybe Monday morning. Not currently predicted to be a high cat hurricane, a very wet tropical storm or cat 1 but anything could happen as it travels across the gulf. Interestingly this one started as Amanda in the pacific, dropped tonnes of rain on Mexico and Guatemala as it traveled east and kind of dissipated before being reborn atlantic side.

As an indication of the busyness of the season (technically starts June1st) Dorian mentioned above which savaged the Bahamas happened in September.

2020 is a crazy year.

I love hurricane season. Last week Hanna blew down parts of Trumps wall in Texas, despite not being all that big and now there's a huge Tropical Storm swelling up in the Caribbean. The forecasters are having a hard time with this one, Isaias but if it stays over the sea and doesn't get wrecked by the mountains in Hispaniola it could be pretty interesting.

Looks like it missed the mountains, predicted to strengthen and fly up the east coast of Florida. 'Rona testing being suspended so Trump will be happy, maybe less so when half of South Carolina floods in 3/4 days time.

Alrighty weather watchers, while we're having some mild fun with 'Storm Ellen', some of which is left over from TS Kyle, over in the Caribbean things are really hotting up. Potentially duel storms Laura and Marco the next few days, could be very interesting indeed. Both currently tropical depressions (13 & 14) so the race is on, which one is which. The surface water in the Gulf of Mexico is hot hot hot, pure fuel for a storm.
