Because tourists won’t come here just to see them. It probably will prompt some people to investigate the island as a possible holiday destination, whether these convert to actual visitors will depend on the rest of the tourist offering. But they weren’t a great expense, generated a disproportionate amount of off Island publicity and will be enjoyed by locals and visitors for some time. Same as the sort of people who are still interested in tourist railways. What you want is people who are knackered after working all week in the City and want some fresh air and exercise. Whatever the weather. And some excellent food and accommodation of an evening. And a roaring fire. The whole thing organised just so. And without them ever having to go anywhere near Douglas. As there's only four is there an intention to purchase more? If that's the case then give local artists an opportunity to utilise their talents.
