With around 10%of KFC joints being halal though most focused on where one might expect to find them let's hope that your new KFC will not add to that number if for no other reason than the incredible cruelty involved in zabiha.

Not really. FWIW I find slaughter for both the kosher and the halal market obscene.  It's just that there are no KFC joints in the UK that deliberately choose to use kosher meat.

Rog, this thread is about a KFC opening in the IoM, primarily concerns over highway issues. You are going off at random tangent, following one of your own personal rants as usual. Or, do you have inside information that they are intending to use halal chicken? Are they looking to cater specifically for the massive Muslim population in Bride?

It's just a facet about cruelty that takes place that some KFC outlets are involved in.  Obviously the intent of any new business is to attract the widest customer base and as many people don't give two stuffs about eating meat that has been humanly slaughtered or not it might be that going down the halal (or kosher) path would achieve this.  That would be a thing that a growing number of people regret.

Is this particular KFC going to be halal, kosher or any other stupid religious requirement?
