TheTeapot
Years ago The Railway in Douglas had a big selection, but it has had a makeover or two since then I think so I wouldn't know now. Not Jack Daniels but how about jackwhite? They had some fancy bourbons in Hops I think.

Hops definitely does have a few in each category. Some you won't see anywhere else on the Isle of Man. The standout for me is the Bardstown bourbon they have. I know they're down to the last of it (the bottle looked very empty when I was there on Friday) but it's a 6 year old and is fantastic. I know they do have plans for more American stock too. Always worth starting a fight over the JD thing. Most people don't know the full answer. It's not actually that far away, is probably the easiest end statement. I don't think they have much in the way of bourbon though, and not any rye that I can recall. They certainly do have some decent Scottish whisky. The Mortlach in particular is very nice.
Happier diner
I see there is a TV in the lounge bar at the woody. There are four bloody bars in that place and 3 already had TVs. Now there is one in the lounge so there is no escape. That's it done for us. Idiots. No wonder pubs are dying. They are clueless.

Pubs are for socialising and talking to your mates. if you want to watch tv then stay at home. As you say no wonder they're dying
