As long as IOMG is actively trying to attract cruise ships here, none of their climate change stuff has any credibility. Those things are massive polluters.

Well I tried to raise the topic of costs for this in committee recently, but was referred to the chief to ask as technically nobody outside of the councillors and invited guests was supposed to know. I will ask again as events budgets are tight and I don’t want this to affect other events later in the year for example.

We got the letters (and security vetting forms) a few weeks ago. Strange they kept it this late to officially announce. I’m off island for it anyway so don’t really care, but have the best opening line for my conference here that’s on the same day. “I’m missing a meeting with the queen to speak to you here today”. I know not everyone is a fan of them but it’s a nice event and raises the profile of the place a bit. Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the occasion.
