  1. Nothing about a raid, so perhaps it didn't happen. The Twitter poster (link above) who 'broke' the news has been asked for their source as there has been nothing released to local press.
  2. Nothing to do with sub judice, but not compromising an ongoing investigation. Just surprising that there is nothing about the raid which seems to be common knowledge.
  3. I meant in response to your complaints to the school.

    Firm closing

Don't worry we now have Tesco which is great for out of date stuff for out of date people. (PS can see no connection between this closure and Tesco, but you managed to introduce one.)
  5. What action has the school taken?
  6. @Anthony Ingham the link I gave has a date.
  7. https://www.gov.im/media/1383517/24-04-24-public-statement-1.pdf
  8. The problem was that 'old fashioned' bullies used corporal punishment as a badge of honour and to reinforce their 'hardness' to those they chose to bully. Agree the social media and psychological bullying is by far the worst as it is inescapable and can pervade the victim's whole life.
  9. Who wouldn't notice a taxi driver in a negligee?
  10. Agreed and with a nice open area behind. We really do not need reproduction Victorian (or older) architecture, just well designed and bold new stuff.
  11. Went past yesterday, could hear activity on the site but couldn't see what as the hoarding completely obscures at ground level.
  12. The point by pont rebuttal was to do with Dr Glover, IIRC. Not sure that situation has seen the light of the courts, or was even fully aired at the PAC although, again IIRC, DA said the department's response to her was in their evidence to the committee. So, I would not be expecting any further on the point by point rebuttal. But point taken.

    Smart Meters

    Thought it was the aarehasaur.
  14. Looking forward to your report, probably tomorrow!
  15. Won't they overlook the courtyard area as shown in the last artist's impression in that article?
  16. I'm not sure of the process, but presumably there is an appeal process which was unsuccessful. Not saying I agree with the outcome, (development is necessary and there is the danger it will just rot away now) just that are hurdles which need to be crossed.
  17. According to MR the reason it was refused was because it involved demolition of a listed building. Not sure how you get round that other than incorporating the existing into the development. Quite how the designers thought they could get over that particular hurdle is perhaps they key point.
  18. Has the reasons for why busy places actually been analysed, rather than a gut feel?
  19. It isn't obvious because there are many courses and qualifications given elsewhere that are accepted here. Degrees, GCSEs, A levels, doctorates, apprenticeships, even driving examinations.
  20. My question wasn't about the licence, which if course is not portable, but the courses offered by UK providers - i.e. whether completion of the course provided by a UK provider was accepted here.
  21. And is the course different to what is required on the island, can the UK courses be accessed and recognised locally?
  22. Did some family research some time ago and was delighted to find that an ancestor had been charged with assaulting someone with a piece of beef. She was acquitted, but what an awesome charge!
  23. Do you not look around for advisory and warning notices?
