If the schedule returned to what it was then there would be even more disruption for the trading estate as the event would run for more days?

In the legislation JW posted earlier, what is classed as indecent images? Totally vanilla Pornographic films included? Dildos etc? Glad the Internet exists, suspect quite of few of the older posters on here have had a porn VHS posted over the years 😀

Agree with this and your other post roaxanne. So frustrating that we don't seem to educate anymore and fire money at it when it's too late. A sugar tax doesnt actually help the matter. People just pay more for it and then have less money for other things. Education is key - not tax!

At least it was filtered. I remember seeing a slop tray used to top up a pint in the early hours in a popular Victoria Street establishment which isn't the nags head Bit of talk earlier in the thread about wetherspoons preying in the vulnerable. Has anyone been in a local spar shop recently? Notice many of them are in locations that vulnerable people live and the prices in there are extortionate. Same item can be bought in shoprite or a independent store for generally £1 less (apart from milk, bread etc). It's absolutely mad and I try to avoid buying anything there where I can
  5. They shouldn't be allowed to be on phones and tablets etc. Pay attention to wtf is going on.

Even if government did contribute £££, to pay absorb permit costs etc, I would suspect it would be in the region of £5,000-10,000. It provides quality entertainment to families and a better quality of life for those people. Govt invest in other things that will contribute to your quality of life, even if this didn't, and that's fine - it's how life works
  7. How can you tell the difference between tourists and cruise ship passengers? Do the cruise passengers wear a boat hat to be easily identified?
  8. I watched it being craned from the cardboard dump into the household waste... Admittedly the cardboard was filling up but they didn't squash it down or anything, simply moved it from one to the other
  9. I went in today and thought the barrier was a little OTT, but the guys was spot on. Perhaps they've had too many ignorant a-holes ignore them and dump where they like I was a bit dissapointed to see the cardboard is actually added to the household waste and not recycled. Waste of time stopping in 2 places
  10. So you're not bothered kids are being taught anal and oral sex, or that drag queen's are brought into schools to teach a lesson and kicking kids out of lessons? Teachers, who don't feel it appropriate to teach these lessons, are being told they must do so? If you're not bothered then you're just weired and I'm guessing don't have kids. I'm supportive of appropriate education on sexual and relationship matters, but the ages involved and the content do not align
  11. My bet would be that 99.9% of them are rent areas. DBC go in on court action as they're probably not getting very far with their conversations to resolve with the tenant. Court action makes the situation very real for the tenant
  12. I can't remember which news reader it is on Manx Radio, but the way she pauses between words mid sentence means your never sure if she has finished the subject she is on! Must be cheap labour
  13. It reads as if their annual lecture has an annual budget of £35k which sounds a lot. Does anyone know who their guests have been in the past? Google hasn't helped on this occasion. I doubt any previous guest will have managed to attract such interest to recoup 60% of the outgoings And the villa has a seated capacity of around 1200. So they might have got close to breakeven but not quite
  14. I understand from people who have ran events in the past that enterprise rarely provide funding up front but they do cover losses, which I can understand. However, in this instance, where the event and most likely accommodation are all benefitting one venue, there will be very little money going into other businesses which stinks
  15. What an egomaniac. Referring to the start of the pandemic "the world's loss was most definitely my gain" There are a lot of other expletives I would use for him, but I'll save JW the time of suspending me and keep them to my self. Will an FOI determine how much it cost? 🤔
