Glastonbury 2011

How did you calculate the per hour rate? There's over a hundred hours of coverage on iplayer at the moment. Does the entire Proms season provide this coverage?

They were the most recent figures I could find [2008] when I doubt the iPlayer offered quite as much - and the coverage of Glastonbury has grown enormously since then, which is not really the case with the Proms.

Anyway, I was pointing out it's rather hypocritical to complain about BBC spending on a "minority" musical event then laud them a few days later for another "minority" music event. I

'd challenge the assumption that the Proms are a 'minority event' [naturallysmile.png ]

Personally, I think both events are the sort of thing the BBC should be covering as part of it's public service remit.

I agree - but I honestly think it was a case of 'overkill' with Glastonbury.

There are times, Lonan dear, when you really are a grumpy old fart!tongue.png

I thought the bit with the cake probably seemed a better idea at the planning meeting, had I been the Dalai Lama I'd have smashed the cake into the bossy woman without a neck's face. But I'd be a rubbish Dalai Lama.
