Mission
rofl, not your day is it dude? Look at it this way, you'll have a nice weekend away and come back to a shiny 2MB connection.
bazcabs
Thanks for the sympathy Mission - always the bridesmaid never the bride. Bit ironic considering I'm going away to a wedding, probably come back with a massive hangover and forget all about the new connection till about Thursday. Mission
Yep, doubt you'll see any difference tbh unless you're dowloading large files. The difference isn't noticable at all with normal web browsing.
bazcabs
Now where would I find some large files to download? I know, I left them over there!!

manxmaid2000
Double bah! Not do I live in the very last place on the island to be upgraded, but am obviously on the very last exchange! Do we know if the upgrade will happen during tonight or at some stage during Friday?

bilbo
Woot woot. Got mine! Though apparently my wireless router/modem doesn't like the new connection and will no longer connect to the internet. Joy. So i have had to fanny about this afternoon luckily I have a spare wired router which will connect and have plugged that in to my wirless router to bring my wireless back online hardly ideal though and a bit messy. The chap at Domicilium informed me that lots of people have had similar problems and some will have to buy new routers as for some reason their routers like mine find the line too noisy or something and aren't synching up properly. Surely that can't be right can it?
Declan
I think that's everyone now isn't it? Even me - Your line speed is:1764.7 Kbps 216.3 K bytes/sec Only I can't download anything until my new hard drive arrives.

Tearz
Is anyone else having speed issues at the moment? I received the upgrade midweek and couldn't fault it at all until yesterday afternoon, when page loading has slowed, and downloads from Microsofts site seem to hop erractivally beteern 5k/s and 70k/s I've just ran a test from Adslguide.org.uk with the following results; Broadband Speed Test Results Results from broadband speed test recorded on Sunday, 06 November 2005, 14:14. Downstream 191 Kbps (23.9 KB/sec) 206 Kbps (inc. overheads) Upstream 242 Kbps (30.3 KB/sec) 261 Kbps (inc. overheads) Roughly the same result for each of the 3 machines in the house... May aswell use the manxnet test whilst I'm at it... Your line speed is: 484.4 Kbps 59.4 K bytes/sec Your line speed is: 277.7 Kbps 34 K bytes/sec Your line speed is: 400.6 Kbps 49.1 K bytes/sec Something seems amiss!! I've restarted my router a number of times now, it's still claiming to be at 2272 Kb/s Note: PSM area. As I've not seen any bleating here, I presume everyone else is ok?
