Albert Tatlock
Singer is now 73 but happy to be introduced on Manx Radio as in his 'late 60s'.Maybe one of the figures was his IQ?
Uhtred
Singer is now 73 but happy to be introduced on Manx Radio as in his 'late 60s'. The guy's a slimeball. The age thing is to dupe his electorate demographic into believing that he's 20 years younger than them. As for your concluding observation you won't express a more accurate assessment of anything for the rest of this year.
Tugger
On the subject of part time jobs, am a might I thinking that MLCs, who have no constituents to take care of, get the same salary as MHKs? If so, I don't understand why there isn't more outrage about these people taking home fifteen hundred quid a day.
notwell
They get the same base salary and then I assume if they take any kind of department position get the uplift. So 38k ish basic, 6k expenses plus department lift? It is broadly a waste of about £1m a year.
Kopek
£ 1500 a day??? 5 day week is 160 to 200 a day.! Still a waste of money though. Singers situation is different to a doctors. Singer can employ a chemist and has shop staff anyway, so can delegate. A doctor cannot. Not supporting Singer but let's get it straight.

Singer was working as a free-lance contract pharmacist for years until fairly recently - mainly in Ramsey. Think you are referring to a time before that when he owned Singer's Pharmacy in St Paul's Square ... sold it to Lloyds. Can't remember when. Donald Trumps
So they could have a really good meddle in what goes on in departments (if they're a member)? This is the worst thing about Tynwald. They just can't let departmental managers manage. This was put to Lisvane but he chose not to pick it up
Kopek
I think Lisvane did, in fact, say much as you wish he had.

"Residents of public sector housing with high income should pay a fairer rent more in line with the private sector" You couldn't make it up......
