Shake me up Judy
Correction: It was made one-way as a last chance safety alternative and stop-gap, short of biting the bullet and imposing the inevitable speed limit.
Shake me up Judy
Speed is perfectly safe: until you hit something or somebody else.
Shake me up Judy
Most riders and most of the public would welcome speed limits. It would calm everything down between the racing; people would be able to get about more with less immediate road closures and gridlock; everyone would feel safer and more relaxed; and the police would be able to do their job properly and manage the event instead of 'fire fighting' and sometimes losing. They do a great job but it's an impossible one at times. It would also take some of the strain off the other emergency services. It wouldn't affect the viewing figures of millions of people who watch the event on T.V. either. They have loads of motorcycling and car events in the States; but if anyone rode / drove like a lunatic over there they'd be locked up pronto. It seems to work guys....but hey, this is the IOM.
