May I suggest the following areas for speeding so that you can report your findings; M60 - currently 50mph average speed cameras. M5 - Junction 1 to Junction 2 currently 50mph average speed cameras (although to be fair you would struggle to do more than 40mph around there at the moment) M6 at Preston between junction 31 and 31a often seems to attract VOSA. notwell
I've been caught twice in the uk by speed cameras. 70 quid fine both times and no points. Licence was returned to me with a letter saying the points couldn't be applied.

woolley
And he's right. A sound thrashing would make him think twice.

Tarne
It's good to know the points don't apply over here, I'm pretty sure I got collared whilst I was away too. An actually useful thread
Jakey
If I get a ban in the IOM then it applies to the UK and it should be the same in reverse. I'm not saying for one moment I should speed over there and possibly hurt people for one minute. The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone.... I'm not sure I could live with that and I respect your Island and knowing I can speed sometimes but not through your villages and built up areas. I wish to make that plain now. Its fantastic to blow off steam or the cobwebs from oneself once a year but its important to note that the majority of bikers from everywhere would never put the Islanders at risk.
