Aristotle
Never mind. Silly people. The point is, this no free bags scheme had no part in raising money for charity and is basically pointless except to allow corporations s d governments to extract more money off people. They can only extract money from you if you buy a 10p bag. Don't buy, don't get money extracted. Quite simple really.

La Colombe
Presumably at least 11p.
Hugh Jampton
My ancestors never used to buy plastic bags to go shopping, they had already bought sturdy shopping bags. Today, you can keep larger bags from other shops in the boot of your car for use in supermarkets.

Not practical though. Not whilst production is typically no longer local and all of the different brands and varieties use different styles of bottles. Imagine the huge costs involved in separating and transporting all the different styles and brands of bottle for re use. Local collection for recycling is a good compromise. Most of Europe does exactly the same. Glass is typically disposed of for recycling or alternative use.
