Declan Posted December 21, 2017 Share Posted December 21, 2017 The problem with Notwell was not that he had alternative views or was a government shill it was that he would often get annoyed and wouldn't just make his point, clarify it if needed but bicker for page after page. I found him/her a bit tedious , insisting he was always right even when he demonstrably was in the wrong and put words into other posters mouths. Some posters can "hold their hand up" when proved to be wrong , and I received retractions/apologies from a few ( including TJ ) however there have been a couple of exceptions . I'm not surprised that he claims that he was banned "for nothing really" , his opinion that he offered "alternative views and perspectives" is perhaps not surprising , as is his opinion that " MF is poorer" for him not posting . At the end of the day the mods are in charge and he can always set up his own site to air his views , frankly I wouldn't be breaking my neck to join it and I don't have a problem with Gladys's decision . That's about right. It was difficult but once you got to know his ways, and most importantly once you got to not bite, then notty was fine. And so many times he would throw in his alternative iomgov slanted view, which simply provided another stepping stone to hammer home how wrong and ridiculous he often was. Bring back notty.
