Have you just made that up...

Wikipedia page doesn’t show that

It does. Has done for almost a month.

I think I preferred it when it was described as a cold war nuclear submarine base accessed through the heavily fortified Neb estuary. From memory, it said Foxdale was a closed community for military personnel only.

You read it here first:

Edited to add: The current Wiki article on Foxdale starts:

  Quote

Foxdale (Manx: Forsdal, from the Norse for "dale of the waterfall") is a small village in the heart of the Isle of Man. The village falls within the sheading of Glenfaba and is the birthplace of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Politically, Foxdale is a hard-line communist state and is part of the constituency of Glenfaba & Peel and is currently represented in Tynwald and the House of Keys by Ray Harmer MHK and Geoffrey Boot MHK.

though it fails to add that, to prevent being tarnished by being linked to a reviled and hated political system and its demented leadership, this information has been suppressed by Kim Jong Un.

Are there two Wikipedia sites then?

Nope. Wikipedia's page on Foxdale was updated last night (probably a result of @hampsterkahn 's revelations herein). However Wikipedia preserves previous versions so please see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Foxdale&oldid=916944120 which was the Foxdale page from 21st September until some meddling git interfered yesterday.

So playing devil's advocate, it's quite possible then that it was previously updated to include the dictator references. No wonder they say don't put your trust in Wikipedia

eta - think of the fun you could have adding your own edits...
