Politically, Foxdale is a hard-line comedy state." Other oddities: "Foxdale is well known for its incest Which it takes the lead Role in on the world." "Foxdale has its own Olympic swimming team who have won qualifications 5 times but have never actually gone to an Olympic event." "Foxdale international airport welcomes 7 trillion visitors a day from all around the world. Most come to play at the famous laser mayhem or its 17 strip clubs." "Foxdale is the height of living life itself." "The village is notably twinned with the Pennine village of Royston Vasey. [1] " (I'm seeing that tiny 1 reference in brackets as suspicious, Roger. ) "Foxdale shipyard is located approximately 1km west of the town. The yard is owned by STX Europe yet operated by BAE Systems. It began operations in October 1927 and is still active today. The three large Cranes can be seen from across the island. Both of the Oasis class cruise ships are being constructed at the yard as well as the Type 212 submarines for the Italian navy. A contract has recently been won to build the 6 Rinascimento class frigates. The yard opens to the sea through the port of Peel, Isle of Man and navigation up the River Neb. A project is underway to deepen The Neb to accommodate the Astute class submarines which are to be serviced in the yard. The current manager of the yard is Donald 'Don' Brown. The Shipyard will not be affected by cuts to the BAE Systems workforce [2]" It is termed as "vandalism" by Wiki. There is some of the humourous stuff, but there is also some very nasty, actionable stuff too. Never take Wiki as true without corroborating. It's why millions of people can make contributions over the years. You can't have one without the other. In any case Vandalising the Foxdale Wikipedia Article is now an ancient Manx tradition like Hunting the Wren or Hop-tu-Naa or making jokes about Juan on the bus. Actually there's more levels of security available in Wikipedia than most people realise and controversial or important articles can be 'locked' in various ways so only certain levels of Wikipedians can change them.
