  1. There are more than enough homes - developers are controlling their own stock to THEIR advantage not to the advantage of the Manx FTB or any average buyer. You continually spout nonsense that because not all the green has been built on it's OK to keep building on it. Its absolutely NOT OK. Once OUR - not YOUR green fields have gone - they've gone. Please do not assume the position of being Manx nor assume to speak for all Manx people. If anything is immoral it is the practice adopted by developers ..which you should be familiar with.
  2. Your definition of conspiracy is different to mine. Will vote of no confidence happen here? I dont know... a straw poll would be interesting
  3. Reality and perception can be quite different. In such things assumptions should not be made - one way or the other,
  4. Of course he refutes it ...carefully crafted press release as you would expect ....
  5. You speak with such authority on how the CM became embroiled in a situation .. are you the CM? there were witnesses you know.
  6. You miss the point ..but that's why you are 'Crazy Dave' ...
  7. The promenade 'upgrade' has basically f*cked Douglas - collectively or individually whichever bit they are responsible for IOMG/DOI or Douglas City Council... the place is a mess. You say scrap the horse trams? ... the last thing we need to do is become an expensive Milton Keynes .. who wants to travel to (via unreliable expensive transport) to get what is already on their doorstep... we need to up our USP not trash it. Other jurisdictions capitalise on the things that make them different not bin them. A cruise ship passenger wishing to experience the unique offering that is eg the Horse tram/electric tram from the arrival port to Laxey or Snaefell has nothing to measure the sound value against - just the experience ... which it appears is becoming priceless..because people like you see no value in it. And of course things like this will appear to fail when eg a request from a cruise ship traveller in the summer looking for tour options was answered by the 'welcome centre' offering to book them a taxi on arrival. Nothing against taxi drivers but just dropping people off at an agreed destination is not a tour. Does not exploit the options available... Businesses on the IOM - finance/gaming etc can up sticks at the click of a mouse... we need to be cognisant of what our natural attraction is and ensure that is supported and maintained.
  8. Its a freaking horse tram!!! not a luxury limousine

It is your opinion. Humble .. not so much. Take a breather .. the world is full of folk with lots of differing abilities and opinions and they may be different to yours, does not make them less able or a lesser person.
  11. They should have been left where they were .... with the upgraded light bulbs. The Prom is cold and uninviting now. Bit of a mess. If the festoon light bulbs were being upgraded what was the rationale for changing to the feeble effort in situ now? The spindly lights would look better where the festoon lights have been placed and put the festoon lights back. Cant help wondering if there wasn't a hint 'virtue signalling' so that rather than just the Tower of Refuge being lit in a specific colour for a specific cause 'somebody' thought it would be much more virtuous to have the whole prom lit up too? ....
  12. For 'Gawd' read 'Idiot' ... there isn't always an appropriate emoji
  13. Confused by your lack of understanding of flood plain. Confused that you dont recall the Lake Road site being flooded ... Tesco, the actual 'shop', may not have been flooded ... but access to it was and I think they had to close early because of it. https://www.facebook.com/EnergyFMIOM/posts/update-report-of-flooding-lake-road-and-tesco-car-park-douglas-parliament-square/10152188056874341/ Hey ho .... apparently you know better

    Firm closing

Maybe use the 'store' as warehouse for picking for delivery and car park for click and collect?
  15. Just aswell nobody was watching the diddly waves yesterday.. you never know what the sea will throw up. Pic from Facebook (Horse tram page)
