  1. AI is exciting as long as its used right (see Terminators prediction about 2024) and I use it a lot in a role you would not expect. I liken it to the Internet before it became widely used, some great ideas germinating and you need to use it right to get the best out of it... Think assistant not role replace at this time. Its an exicting area but one which could have a big impact from a social / economic and even a moral point of view and one which unlike the Internet net of the late 90s genuinely has supprised me at the speed it's become a 'thing' in every ones life. Terran
  2. .... I can agree with this - even the M6 has some pot holes now if if doing some MPH can be bad if you hit them... Roads have gone to an abismal state - for any one getting off at Heysham - turn left on to the industrial estate and you'll get a good feel of what awaits. Terran
  3. I can see the logic in this but not seen it yet my self. Would love to see the view on the screens though if the blinds are closed which I believe you can in the cabins? T
  4. Over all I think we can agree be it IOM or Yorkshire (or even humble Morecambe) air quality is better than citys like Manchester, Birmingham and London (not counting the Tube which if you looked at the source of 'dust' would gross you out) where you can taste and see it. T
  5. Chuckle... I had a sudden flash back to this:
  6. I've always felt welcome, and safe, when I've been over... T
  7. With out detail because it's not appropriate for online but pretty much racist views boardering on the extreme because of what they had read / seen in the media etc. T
  8. ... (long time lurker here), I did not vote for it as I believe eventually the human race should come together but thats many life times away given some of the things you see in the world now. Having spoken to those around me, including direct family who did vote for it mostly it was down to old out of date values and what they read/saw from all the sources we know. I voted for staying on the basis of it been a barrier for good business but quite honestly its even worse than that now with the stuff out of westminster. No where is perfect but just look at a certain MP resident in IOM whos been investigated, my own has his stories. Where has this led me ? I'm currently looking at leaving here and not coming back and been a comeover as I love the place. It would be intresting to hear the views for Brexit affecting the IOM wider if you have any. One good thing however - I do believe Ireland will come together in some form (some thing Star Trek predicted and the BBC edited out at the time lol) followed by Scotland and Wales eventually. Thanks Terran
