  1. Do they or will they have a state of the art super environmentally friendly propulsion system? As far as I'm concerned the island has once again tried to impress with an oversize, poorly thought out, relatively untried technology. ( Similar really to the absurd attack on home heating by Daffy and her disciples).

    RingGo

Oh yes, and didn't someone post a communication from the manufacturer that showed that they were available and at a very reasonable price?
  3. Our dustbin men are perfect, couldn't be better. Happy New Year all.
  4. So they are building a new reservoir in Jurby. They seem to have slipped that through, bet it's over budget and late.
  5. No 1 son and family were supposed to be on tonight's Gatwick to IOM. He' just called us to say it's cancelled. Ronaldsway says its due at 9 Gatwick says delayed. Jeez! Good job that we decided we wouldn't set off from Ballaugh until son confirmed take off.
  6. Carbon emissions are blindsiding us to all the other pollutants that cause far more problems than excess carbon. Check your digital footprint first then the number of times you change consumer goods just because you haven't got the latest. Just try some of theses things for a start and then consider India, China etc and their polluting ways and consider the support given to polluting industries by some UK politicians. Do these things before trying to shame the inhabitants of a a small rock in the middle of the Irish Sea This isn't aimed at anyone in particular just the hypocrites.
  7. I agree except for the hybrid bit. why have two engines? one ICE and one electric motor. the power losses when power is transferred are conveniently forgotten. I've just finished a book called, 'The Dark Cloud'. Very scary, very well researched and very to the point, just how much the digital world is costing the environment.
  8. I wonder what's happened to Roxy? Hope she's ok.
  9. It's a Manx thing !😁
  10. In neat ice nothing will help except tyre studs.
  11. Well, we've had two?? Dunno why but they both went in the bin. Sorry, but the questions are very intrusive even though they already have a lot of the information.
  12. But why change what was there. It worked, it was unambiguous. Just change for change sake and some crayonista saying aren't we clever................NO

    Ton up Club

Just badly adjusted drivers who are slow dipping or drivers with illegal bulbs. Of course some of the very modern cars have auto dipping lights which are a bit slow doing so.

How would most people know a vehicle was defective?
  15. Thank goodness. What a ridiculous system.
  16. ..............and take five years.
  17. Similar experience with working for Norton Villiers in Wolverhampton just before their demise. Exactly the situation with the unions which created an impasse between the foundry workers and the production line that the company could not survive and soon after, they crashed. However there are instances in history where, before the unions became nests of dissidence and too powerful, they did help the workers to get better working conditions and wages in some industries.
  18. Plus if they are comms. savvy. The alleged miscreants will only use their phones intermittently.
  19. You are unaware of what has really happened so maybe wait until you do.
  20. Oh good, that means it's ok for ours to break down again.🤣
  21. I thought the Gov. took a few million out of any profit for their own coffers??
