Victoria Grill & Diner

Rhumsaa

Recommended Posts

Situated by the Library where Feegans lounge was on Victoria St

Went there for lunch on Wednesday - decent menu and nice enough interior, had a burger and it was massive, tasty and looked home made but the service was awful.

The condiment selection on the table is worth mentioning as there are a couple of hot sauces as well as mayo, bbq and ketchup on every table. I am a sucker for condiments so it won me over on this point alone.

I put it down to teething problems as it is pretty new so maybe will improve over time but a 40 minute wait between ordering and food arriving at the table is not much use for lunch times when you have to get back to work.

Will probably go back on a weekend or for tea time some time.

Get's my rating.

Had the pulled pork sandwhich - delicious! Plus as mentioned before the piri piri sauce won me over, ever if the chips weren't all that (not bad just nothing compared the sandwhich).

The retro games they have there are brilliant too, I could spend all day in there! Sad to hear it's closed, hopefully it's only superficial. Didn't have any problems with the service either.

Currently closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Been wanting to try it for past couple of weeks too.

Hope whatever is up it's nothing too bad.

any timescale on whether it will be re-opening?
