Ron Burgandy
No doubt the notice will appear on the assorted local news outlets in about 48 hours time.
mrmadmanx
So if we didn't have a look at MF we would never know about this important issue!! Another fail for a Government Department! No doubt the spin in the next day or so will eliminate that Government Department of all wrong doings and blame someone else. Who is the Minister with responsibility for this Department?! HeliX
Nothing on www.iomonline.co.im Unbelievable or energy's news site, or manx radio's news site, or govenments news site.Lets hope it's nothing serious. Energy FM reported it on Facebook: " Urgent Information from the Water Authority: The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority wishes to advise customers that the recent exceptional weather resulted in the incoming raw water into the Douglas Water Treatment Works having high levels of sediment and has resulted in a brief period of 3-hours when the quality of water entering supply was lower than its normal high standards. As purely an advisory measure, it is recommended that customers boil the water for drinking, food preparation and cleaning teeth. This advice is for the next 48-hours. The areas affected are: Douglas, Onchan, Baldrine, Lower Laxey, Crosby, Marown, Glen Vine, Santon, Ballasalla, Castletown, Ballabeg, Colby, Arbory, Port Erin and Port St Mary Customers who have further concerns are advised to contact the Water & Sewerage Authority’s Customer Services Department on 695 949." No doubt the spin in the next day or so will eliminate that Government Department of all wrong doings and blame someone else. Who is the Minister with responsibility for this Department?! Well it's been on facebook, twitter, government website, manx radio will more than likely announced it as a bulletin. But the information is fairly new (last hour or so) so it takes time to get through Apart from sending loud hailers through the streets what more do you want? trmpton
To be fair, its a very recent notice, and most of them won't have staff there on a Sunday. It's just a ploy to get us all to use more electric and boost MEA profits anyway
