mannin1
Pensioners freezing and hungry, and these egotistical A-Holes are blowing god knows how much (we will never find out) on unnecessary vanity trips around the world. Talk about making hay while they still can !!!

Non-Believer
Interesting article on Sky News this morning about how NHS executives have entitled themselves to @ £38M in payrises last year. Apparently the games also included being re-employed in the same roles after retirement/redundancy etc.... Now where have you heard similar to this before....? Snaipyr
Half listening to Manx Radio over the weekend and heard Alan Bell say something to the effect that getting rid of the upper house wasn't high on the public agenda - they're more interested in having a decent standard of living. So there!
Donald Trumps
After praising Mr Bell, Bernard Moffat told him he was totally wrong with that statement
Albert Tatlock
Moffat thinks Bell is doing a good job. IMO that's only because Bell hasn't cut the jobs and the overpaid overmanagement in the civil and public services that need to go if we are to ever hope of some recovery from this financial mess. Wann
With Allan Bell being a former member of Mec Vannin, the two go back a long way.
Non-Believer
It might be worth looking at Bell's record since 2011. Elected against the backdrop of the huge VAT clawback, there was lots of rhetoric about what needed to be done, hard times ahead akin to the war etc etc. But what has he actually done? The waste and spendthrift attitude continues, the huge pensions and payoffs largely remain, the vast numbers in Govt. All he seems to have done is hammer the ordinary man in order that the status quo can largely continue?
Albert Tatlock
Bell has signed prematurely to much other jurisdictions have not yet signed to. He's sold us out for a knighthood.
Non-Believer
For services to who or what? The IoM? Doubtful, are there any locals who would see fit to award him such? Services to the wealthy and George Osborne/UK Treasury maybe?
