TT Paddock almost ready! Work almost finished to house riders and teams The finishing touches are being put on the TT Paddock and Grandstand, with less than four days to go until the first practice session of this year’s festival. Competitors and teams are already packing out the compound in Noble’s Park at the back of the start line. The man whose job it is to make sure they all fit and have everything they need for the next two weeks is Lloyd Mister, G4S’s divisional manager of security services. I visited the site, www.surveymonkey.com to try to find out but the questionnaire was geared to people coming to visit rather than locals and any results were impossible to find.... In fact, the link takes you to a veritable treasure-trove of TT facts and figures over the years. The grants given to the ACU, advertising in the national press, posters in main UK rail stations, availability/standard of accommodation, the views of MHK's and much more.
