Addie
I have a lovely dog but wouldn't inflict his fluffy company, however charming, on customers in a café, pub or restaurant.
monasqueen
I am t a dog owner, but I have no issue at all with (well behaved) dogs in pubs. Most are happy just to stay underneath their owners' seats and lie down, thoroughly well mannered. I wish the same could be said for children. thommo2010
Bringing down the price of drinks will help pubs attract customers more than allowing an animal in

Crystal
Bad news, some people are unable to control their kids in pubs, what hope have we got of them controlling their dogs.

Tempus Fugit
many places we have been away with our dogs were very welcoming, often supplying doggybix or treats, many times people have come over wanting to talk to them, one chap in Yorkshire came over and said "I need a doggy-fix, I had to leave mine at home". At that same 'walker's bar', it had a stone floor, and we wondered what the dog was playing with in his mouth, it was a piece of broken glass from when a party of children had been in earlier :-( some cafes are dog friendly as well ! Monkey boy
So, if a pub landlord allows dogs onto his premises and a dog savages a customer who will be libel deemed to blame the dog owner or the publican? Ah that's one of those trick questions. Neither - it's the dog.
FACT
I don't use pubs that have bloody football on the big TV, or kids in them. This is another reason not to go in one. Not many places left now.
the stinking enigma
seems to me that the only types of pubs that will allow dogs in now its legal are the ones which have always let them in anyways, so gotta say hats off to the researchers, who presumably spent 2 years on the piss whilst getting paid to discover this. absolute genius, i offer my full respects

slinkydevil
I've never experienced an issue with dogs in an eatery. Yeah but on Valentines day you're probably so loved up, you don't notice.
