sm-iom
There are always polarised views on the rights and wrongs of cyclists. This though is disgraceful, and good to see the majority of Facebook commenters think so as well Let's see the tractor driver identified please
Andy Onchan
Looks like the trailer has no plate. Isn't that illegal?
Max Power
A misjudgement of the length of his trailer more than anything. Could have been serious though, cyclists are regularly killed in cities by large vehicles in a similar manner. Perhaps the current consultation on walking and cycling provisions will help to address this kind of thing? We are currently a dangerous place to drive and cycle due to the width of our roads. Show me a farm trailer that does have one..? Or present and functioning lights...? If any other members of the public used a vehicle like that they'd soon have their collar felt? maynragh
Yup. In that video driver 100% in the wrong. The only thing to say with regards cyclists vs drivers is a minority on both sides are often guilty of disregarding the law and Highway Code. The government is guilty of not investing in proper cycling routes, which you will find pretty much everywhere else in Europe.

Declan
This kind of illustrates why riders should adopt a position towards the middle of their lane. (Although it's understandable why he didn't with that thing breathing down his neck.) It gives you room to move towards the curb in case of need. La Colombe
Perfect example of why cyclists should be allowed discretionary use of the pavement. Although it was quite an impressive comedy tumble on to the pavement after the trailer was well clear.

It is a green light for abuse by cyclists.
