manxy
I think Travelodge has picked a prime spot. Whether this will be a kick in the teeth for shops currently along Strand St, then we'll have to wait and see

gettafa
There are as many threads on this as there are on potholes and dog poo
TheTeapot
I don't believe it. If it gets built at all it will be a 30 bed Travelodge with 40 apartments, and maybe a two screen cinema. But good luck to them, something needs to happen.

doc.fixit
.................why don't they just copy St Helier bus station? A proven, good design.......................
Dougie
Looks superb. Hope it happens, and soon.
guzzi
Good, I hope it happens. It would be excellent to have a seven screen cinema. Travelodge less so, but then I live here so it's pretty irrelevant. As regards buses, don't they all just stop at the side of the road? Why would that need to change?
woody2
its only 16 years since they knocked it down, they can't move to fast.......
plankton1906
The buses will run along the front, much as they do now. Not sure the retail units will appreciate the smell of diesel fumes as the engines are left running whilst the drivers play on their phones. 1

The island has trouble filling the cinemas they have. What makes you think a seven screen cinema will fare well? 1

Fully agree but we seem to go from zilch to try for everything in one go. Was the Tower House shopping centre not proof enough? 2
