I'd be interested to see the sellers bank due diligence reports on the sale of these properties.... a not insubstantial amount has changed hands (IOM-wise) within the last few weeks.

As this is their third substantial purchase, the funds must be there and bank satisfied. Or at least you would hope it is.

I'm sure the funds are in the sellers' bank account... but where has it all come from to fund these purchases?

Depending on where the accounts are held, rigid due dilligence would have been applied to the kind of money changing hands here. Receiving banks just don't take large amounts without necessary back up these days. The penalties are too severe (and rightly so)

To drag the topic back on course, it's interesting how little evidence of this Tevir Group there is online isn't it?  You's expect something with 'group' in its name to be ... well more group-y.  Perhaps a corporate website filled with mission statements and other business bullshit.  Instead there's just the very recent (31 August) incorporation already mentioned, a presumably related February incorporation for Tevir Properties (IOM) Ltd, and a Linkedin for someone called Steven Malone who is Financial Controller at Tevir Group.

Newsnight has updated his blog piece about the recent ownership history of the Castle Mona with the latest information and points out that the registration of the property hasn't been updated - as it should legally have been if it was sold in May.

As per Roger Mexico's above post though - this "relatively" unheard of group with little background information has suddenly rocked up and is buying £Ms of long term run down local real estate and assets. Perhaps the local market has "bottomed out" and they're snapping up bargains.

Although it's highly commendable if they can do something constructive with them.
