Uh, whatever. Fact is that the Chief Minister is not running around like a wet hen.

What planet are you on TJ?

That nice Howard Quayle has been banging on about this for ages eg

Is there somewhere I could go to get considered comment on this, looks like it could be leading to some kind on constitutional crisis.

It’s fascinating how little attention this has raised isn’t it.

Aside from the fairly secondary question of the register, the issue of the uk directly legislating for the IOM on something as significant as fiscal regulation should be a bit of a concern shouldn’t it?

Once that wedge has started, where does it end? And nobody cares that laws are being proposed in a parliament they hold no direct representation within?

Proof if it were needed I guess as to the level of apathy we’ve achieved.

What part did UK play in the birch?

The UK plays a big part in our lawmaking, even if it is tacet. Perhaps the relationship needs to be tested. Cannabis laws for example. But there is enough cash in reserves saved up from the bonanza VAT years, to keep our government sanguine for a few years yet before there has to be any radical measures.
