Well, Tynwald are off on holiday for 3 months - so they're obviously not worried about us

Wise Mr Shimmins tried to persuade them to come back in September & not one of them would second his motion

Appalling, really

To be fair though, he knew they wouldn’t. Great chess move

Bit like asking if you have stopped beating your wife.

Hmmm. Mr Skelly of the DfE says the Dept has identified £6.5M of savings, including £5.5M through not running 2020 TT/FOM events. Manx Independent Budget Report.

It's great, the TT. When we run it, it generates over £30m for the economy. When we don't, it saves us £6.5m. We'd be truly fucked without it.

Fuck our parliament man. What a bunch of wankers.

'This is taking too long, lets not bother, oh and lets not bother changing the schedule for our summer holidays either, lets not do our jobs, lets not hold the DoI to account, lets not query DEFA being up in court, lets JUST DO FUCK ALL apart from talk SHIT for three days to pretend we're busy. Oh and here's a few bus tickets to you Onchan plebs, be happy Isle of Man.'

I fucking hate them all.

Looks like a case of "Balls to this, let's get knocked off and out the door asap..." Like schoolkids breaking up on last day of summer term. And about the same level of responsibility. I wonder if they threw order papers/exercise books around and tore their ties off too?

All in the midst of the fallout from a virus pandemic and a lot of people floundering employment and income-wise.

Such are our governing classes.
