    When covid was getting started someone who wasn't that long retired from Nobles told me Ewart was arrogant and stupid. Thought it was a bit harsh at the time, but now see they were spot on.

    East Onchan / coastal Onchan / Garff maybe? i always go along the prom to town, B&Q, Robinson’s, airport etc. Far easier and quicker than heading up to the village and glencrutchery road and quarterbridge.

    I wasn't thinking too clearly at 4am. I remember waking and saying to my wife that it sounds like our washing machine is on the blink, not realising it was the approaching helicopter. I'm blaming the antihistamine I'd taken in the evening.

    22+ years ago I likely thought a bad cold was flu. Actually had flu pre Christmas 99 to post new year 2000. Two weeks I bed, could hardly get out. Don’t think some people realise how bad flu can be.

    Went through on Saturday and was caught out. No queue, plenty of tray space. Usually get ready in the queue with belt off, watch off, check pockets etc, but was a bit flustered this time as no waiting at all. Entry in to Seville quite painless as well.

    Possibly a daft question, but what’s the point of the pink concrete? Is it just purely decorative? Gold leaf would probably have been cheaper.

    I’ve had Chicken 65 starter twice at Aura and they were completely different each time. I queried if I had the right dish second time (not complaining) and the waiter / owner explained that one chef was from the south of India and the other was from the north and that was how they did it. I liked them both.

    I *THINK* the chefs from Kurries & Steaks and Aura went to Flavours (on Broadway) and Orange Indya.
