Where have the cars come from, mainly the UK, at a guess? Would the smaller plates be OK in the UK?

Who organised the event? Surely they should have let participants know about the number plate issue? And, why would you want to change the size of your number plate?
  13. Even crapper than before Tesco bought Shoprite? The proof in the pudding is that Vic Road is always busy when I go in, and I go in often as it is my 'corner shop'. That Shoprite, which was their main store, was rarely busy with few queues at the tills. However, you have to assume that Lake Road has taken a bit of a hit as those who would go there now go to Vic Road. Went to the new PE Tesco this week, again busy, fair range but not as wide as Lake Road and prices seemed to be the same. I really can't see how you regard Shoprite, as was, as a paragon of supermarket shopping. It was second rate on just about every front and, to an extent, that is understandable as they just didn't have the buying power to offer the range and prices that their larger competitor could. They tried tie ups with other brands and retailers but it just didn't work.
  14. If that is their stated aim, please provide a link to that statement.
  15. So people will avoid those stores. Despite what you think, I am not a blind Tesco fan, but to be perfectly frank, they are miles better than Shoprite. To be fair to Shoprite, they couldn't compete as they didn't have the buying power, despite trying many tie-ups with big names. But the stores were very run down, their prices were high and the range limited. We have what we have, nothing we can do other than decide where we shop, and I would not do a big shop in a Tesco Express.
  16. OK, I will not go down that blind alley again.
  17. What are you comparing their higher prices and less choice with? It's a Tesco Express after all.
  18. Well, those three people should be happy now, probably thanks to you. So top marks However, it may be a bit of a squeeze on that bench if they all turn up at the same time.
  19. An ordinary Saturday night then. ETA, not for you but for Playa la Doolish.
  20. Yes, a vain one though. I do sometimes ask that they at least hesitate, but it is usually met with a nervous laugh.
  21. Yes, I would like them to at least hesitate before they press the authorise button.
