The price is hugely prohibitive in itself, but even if it was cheaper, why the hell do they need a new building, surely a business case must have been produced and signed off? And surely to God the ratepayers must have been asked if they agree to to it, it's not the Commissioners' money, it's the people and businesses of Braddan,s.

Stu, I don't listen to Manx Radio ever as it just does not appeal to me but I do listen to Energy FM and Radio 1 and 2. However, I do appreciate that there are a great many people on the island, mainly our older folk, who do listen to Manx Radio and it keeps them abreast of what's happening on the island but having said that I fail to understand why the island's other two radio stations (Energy FM and 3FM) function without having to be subsidised by taxpayer money, why can't Manx Radio function without taxpayer subsidies?

You refer to Easyjet as Sleazyjet but in all honesty I have never had a problem with them, in my opinion they are fantastic. The only time there was an issue was when those slackers (French Air Control) went on strike (When are they not on strike?) which affected mine and thousands others' flights, I was refunded for my flights, my hotel costs and my hire car costs in full...they were brilliant. I only have the highest praise for Easyjet.

Depends on how high the sea wall.is, if it's about 4ft then midgets, drawves, people in wheelchairs and children won't be able to see but eveyone else will.

There's been a reduction I grant you that but not all who are at the coal face have left, and the irony is that there are a lot on this forum banging on about the Government bloat. I'm a tax payer and I see profligate waste across government especially in our health service but that goes amiss because it's viewed as being so precious, which it most certainly is if it's run well but it isn't and there is a massive amount of utter incompetence right across the board and very evident silo mentality.

I'm sure they do a lot well, what Neil Down said was that he'd like to see the feckin whole Department sacked, and what I'm saying is that not all employees are so bad at what they do that they shoupd be sacked. As with all organisations, there's good and bad employees, as Napoleon supposedly said "“There are no bad soldiers, only bad officers.”

So the whole department are useless and need sacking according to you. I take it you know everyone in the department personally and know their competence levels and consiencousness, you also know everything about highway engineering and special events? You truly are awesome, we, here on MF are in the presence of greatness, we are not worthy oh great one.

You've completely missed my point (even though it was duplicated), with regard to maintaining, removing redundant and installing new I was referring to gas, drainage, telecoms, water, electric and street lighting....I never once referenced pedestrians getting to businesses.
