  1. I'm not trying to stop you, that's up to you, just suggesting that maybe you've wrung it out more times than a window-cleaners chamois.
  2. But the importance in this case is subjective. You're just repeating yourself, pressing-home the same point, made pages and pages ago. Alternatively, reasonable contradiction from other posters hasn't put you off and some you're taking personally 🙄 Are people really that bothered..? Maybe it's time to put the cheapest sock you can find in it...
  3. Prescription charges in the UK will £9.90 for a single prescription from the 1st May. The pre-payment card charges are also increasing. We pay £3.85 per single prescription. Would it be unreasonable to be asked to pay a fiver for ours?
  4. I watched the whole parade yesterday. Unsurprisingly, no ISIS or hamas flags this year and only a few calls of "death to Jews!" Maybe 4/5000 on the March? As it passed, those Jews taking part in the counter-protest spontaneously began dancing and singing traditional Hebrew songs, a few with drums and whistles. The chant of "no hostages, no cease-fire" was a popular one. In a show of solidarity the Israeli flags flew alongside Union flags. A few of the Al-quds marchers shouted stuff, a few of the ISIS hand signals went up, threatening with the usual angry menace. The Jewish contingent (around 1000 at one point) rounded off the party with a loud rendition of the Hetikvah and last of all, a hearty, 'God save the King.' 10 arrests/detainings; mostly public order offences, some immediately released with a word of warning. Plenty of Met activity, who showed a lot of restraint, which was probably wise given the potential for mayhem. Some violence on the transport systems later on, possibly connected. A good result all the same, considering.
  5. Sounds like you're singling-out humans. Anyone who thinks humans are solely responsible is an idiot...
  6. It should be either a thumb's up or down. Or preferably nothing at all.
  7. Darwin's that focused he can score with his arse 😁
  8. So you wilfully ignored the technical details about the rockets being fired that I posted earlier. Fireworks? Every post you make is a concoction to absolve these terrorists of their actions now, and to downplay the barbarity of October 7th.
  9. Michael, Sir Jonathon Michael, singular. At least get that right! 🙄
  10. The Qassam, Grad and Katyusha are effective weapons. Apart from being indiscriminate (cannot be aimed) they can be built to carry explosive loads equivalent to an artillery shell up to 144kg of explosive potential. That's quite a boom... So hardly "fireworks." Although very effective they are often poorly constructed meaning they regularly fail after launch, often falling to an area of ground close to where it's fired from.
  11. So you must be assuming that "Israeli aggression" is gratuitous rather than reactionary, to the constant terroristic actions of the islamists. Since 2005 for instance, no fewer than 50,000 rockets have, and continue to fall on towns and cities in Israel, with mounting casualties, the threat has been a constant. As have been the bus and restaurant bombings, etc., specifically targetting Israeli civilians as they've never discriminated between the IDF and ordinary civilians because any dead Jew is a bonus to them. It's an unfortunate fact that even if hamas ceased to exist tomorrow there would be some other cell/faction ready and willing to take over and continue the fight in their place. It's the way of the islamist, martyrdom is in the blood.
  12. Yes. It would be a start. Here's a thing, the islamists appear able to replenish its supply of millions of rounds of small-arms ammunition, replacement RPG's, grenades and other ordnance smuggled in from Iran and others, why then can't they do the same with food and essential medical supplies. It is well known that any humanitarian supplies like food and meds are distributed to the terrorists before the people of gaza...
  13. Hama's surrender would be a sensible approach. Have you asked yourself why they don't just surrender, for the good of their people? Isn't that a sensible idea, because no way can they EVER win this war. No point in extinguishing 3/4 of a fire...
  14. You're quite deliberately misinterpreting to suit. I've no more to say. @P.K. At least get the date of that appalling and cowardly massacre right, it was the 7th of October, not the 9th. Ordinarily, it would be a moot point but not in this case.
  15. Do you even accept the reasons why Netanyahu adopted this policy? I appeal you, take 5 minutes to read why it became so. Take-in the fact that when Netanyahu came to power in January '23, 20,000 new work permits were issued to workers in the gazan enclave, enabling many thousands more in families to escape absolute poverty and to enjoy at least a modicum of stability... https://www.timesofisrael.com/for-years-netanyahu-propped-up-hamas-now-its-blown-up-in-our-faces/ Hardly. Whatever the populist notion says to you, Israel hold all the strings, and always will. The existential threat for them is to be surrounded by millions of ideological nutters intent on its annihilation. It serves them to be suspicious. What you mean by them acting "sensible" is confusing. And in comparison, successive palestinian ruling-bodies have behaved appallingly, without concern for their 'people' by being disinterested in bringing peace to the area. The bastard Arafat has much to answer for in this respect. One question for you; why do you think Egypt and Jordan want nothing to do with the palestinian problem? Why did/do their borders remain closed to refugees? They have both stood-by whilst gaza burns, why is this, pray tell..?
  16. Oh Yes, for sure. It'll never happen though. Not in our lifetimes, at least. @Non-Believer just nailed it.
  17. Not really the same people. Those Arab-Israeli muslims are a tad more enlightened (well, most of them at least), by living in Israel they benefit from employment, medical care, a comprehensive education system for their children, adequate housing, amongst other advantages. They're less inclined to support the jihadist bullshit because they realise that living in gaza brings with it poverty, instability and a life dictated-to by violent, barbaric totalitarians who would only bring war, conflict and ultimately destitution.
  18. Around 70% of palestinians voted Hamas into power, fully aware of its doctrine of removing all Jews from that land, knowing it could not be achieved via peaceful process, and that bloody conflict with Israel would be inevitable. They knew what they voted for and the inevitable consequences of challenging Israel. This entire group, that you refer to is made up of factions of hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, et al, with same objective. https://www.newsweek.com/not-only-hamas-eight-factions-war-israel-gaza-1841292 Even combined in armed resistance, these groups stand not one chance of victory in their war with Israel. Rather than surrender their hopeless task they steadfastly continue to fight when tactically, they've already lost the war. It's senseless, pointless, but the tens of thousands of rockets continue to be fired and fall on Israel; purposely and indiscriminately targeting not only the IDF but its citizens also. It does not matter to these factions that the use of their own citizens as human-shields only serves to raise the death toll and material destruction, preferring instead that they are used merely as a propaganda tool. It's in their interests and it works, as we have seen with the demonstrations happening on the streets of the Western nations by masses who have no idea (and care even less) of the historical background of the decades-old conflict or the real objective of the islamists - the annihilation and removal of ALL Jews. It isn't going to happen, no matter what anyone thinks. Why is it only Israel? Why is it that those criticising Israel's right to defend itself are not also concerned with the Christians, Jains, Ba'hais et al, who are being slaughtered, kidnapped, forced into slavery and conversion in their thousands by islamist factions in Nigeria, Yemen, Iraq and other states in Africa and the middle-east, surely these innocent lives matter too? The disgusting glorification and celebration of the barbaric October massacre seems long-forgotten. Recently, the islamist leaders have promised more of the same. It's insane, they should spare their people and surrender because a shaky ceasefire is not peace and Israel is there to stay.
  19. Exactly. That, and now unfettered, rampant islamism.
  20. There's only a very slim chance of a 2-state solution being workable, long term, imo. Can't see the islamists on the ground in gaza, and the mad mullahs in Tehran (who are really fomenting this conflict) supporting a 2-state solution, ever. Seeing as their goal is the total destruction and annihilation of Israel and the removal of all Jews from the middle-east I can't see it ever being resolved. Unfortunately.
