  1. Sounds very horrible. What stands out for me is that having cannabalised (sp) their own body, seemingly for no sound medical ( eg live saving) reason and suffering terrible constant pain for a tad less than five months, this individual seems to be most concerned about their inability to achieve an orgasm. If that were me suffering all that “ brutal” pain that would be the least of my worries.
  2. OK what size majority vote would you suggest? 75% is oft quoted but that was not achieved in the 1975 referendum. A simple majority was all that was required for continued membership of the EEC
  3. OK , Perhaps I could ask you to draft the referendum question that you would have liked to have been asked which encompasses all the range of opinions and options that you and Reckless Abandon have referred to. For example in respect of the WTO, Switzerland model, Single Market, Freedom of Movement etc etc , and all the permutations thereof. Oh and include one for me please. about ending the supremacy of EU law or not. I look forward to reading it!
  4. This one:- The referendum question was: Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union? Quite clear I would have thought. And the result was equally clear.
  5. So the “stupid and completely unnecessary” democratically expressed wish of the people should not have been implemented then? Notwithstanding of course that the racist electorate were misled and/or lied to. And that they are stupid and were asked the wrong question which they apparently didn’t understand. Have I missed anything else?
  6. Sounds about right!! Anybody else got something for which they want to blame Brexit for? “Rufus Wainwright blames Brexit for Sheridan Smith musical flop The musician claims British audiences ‘have a narrower outlook post-Brexit and lack curiosity’ Musician Rufus Wainwright has blamed Brexit for the failure of his Sheridan Smith musical Opening Night. The West End show, described by the Telegraphas “a pretentious, convoluted mess”, was forced to close two months early and there were reports of audience walk-outs. According to Wainwright, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show, British audiences have a narrower outlook post-Brexit and lack curiosity. They were unreceptive to the avant garde production, an adaptation of a 1977 John Cassavetes film, whereas European audiences welcomed it, he said. Wainwright, a Canadian-American who lives in Los Angeles, told the Guardian: “I do feel that, since Brexit, England has entered into a darker corridor where it is a little more narrow in its outlook.”
  7. Similarly, I went for a pub lunch in the north of the Island. The normally roaring fire stove was not operating ( it was blooming cold) and the usually generous portion of chips was a bit mingey . (But the steak and ale pie was ace as normal, if now quite pricey)
  8. Well as you rightly infer I do find Everton supporters more insightful and constructive when discussing all things football. Rather than suggesting the person with whom they are engaging just to “ shut the fuck up” or similar sentiments🙂
  9. This takes me back to the school playground. “ My team is better than your team” ” No it’s not. Your team is rubbish” ” Yaah boo sucks”
  10. I really can’t see what your problem is here. I am sure if you asked nicely they may do it for when “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” is on. Or “ Homes under the Hammer”
  11. Equally no child should believe that their parents exist to suit their own childish wants needs and desires and children should also believe their parents don’t owe them shit. Your parents are not on this earth to make you happy. They are there to bring you up to be responsible people. Yes if either of my children had told me they wanted to “ transition “ I would have urged caution and asked them to really consider it. It’s a whole different ball game, for example than them coming out as gay. ( and this is why I have a problem with the transsexual movement piggy backing on the hard fought rights of the gay community) That said if either of my children said they were trans, I wouldn’t reject or “ punish” them in the way you suggest. I’d still love them. So equally children, earn the respect of your parents don’t be assholes towards them, learn the way they feel the way they do. It’s a two way street.
  12. And what happens to the testicles in all this detransition process? Have they previously been frozen in case they may be needed again for a reversal? Or have they been implanted as super nipples? You may get your penis back but you’d want the whole set back surely?
  13. Well the problem to me is people taking sick days when they are not sick. Hardly controversial I would have thought.
  14. I didn’t. Why would you?
  15. Ah Ok. So if you want to detransition you just pop it back out? ( Sorry I’m not familiar with these procedures)
  16. Well, they haven’t really retired from teaching have they?
  17. I worked for some 40 odd years, had a similar number of sick days off over those years Salaried, got sick pay. Well I was just paid as normal if that counts as sick pay.
  18. It would take some balls to even attempt it.
  19. Well that’s hardly surprising. I imagine it’s difficult to sew a penis back on once it’s been removed.
  20. One can trade “ expert” opinions on this issue until the cows come home. Truth is young people have adopted this trans ideology fuelled by activists who seemingly have no idea of the harm they are causing. ( or maybe they do) Yes, if you think, or have been persuaded to think, you are in the “ wrong” gender fine. Wear the clothes you think you should, adopt the mannerisms you think you should, act like you think you should. Nobody should condemn you for that. Just don’t do yourself permanent physical damage by messing about with your body be that by taking drugs that you think will help or having your genitals removed or altered. You may come to regret it later
  21. Not only visitors to here. Visitors to there. I would love to be able to take a weekend break ( or longer) via boat to either Northern Ireland or the Republic . I did look at the timetable for such sailings but they were so few and far between it really wasn’t a viable option. Got the impression it was just a sop to say yes we do sailings to Ireland without promoting it.
  22. Well you can get times more pissed on Diamond ( whatever it is) cider for a fraction of the price. But your standard gin, say Gordon’s is half the price, or less of Fynoderee and other premium gins say 2/3 the price. Fynoderee ( which is OK) I see as a sort of novelty product. Take a bottle home for the people who have been looking after your dog or cat for you whilst you have had a weekend in the IOM.
