  1. Let’s hope the Cass Report heralds the beginning of a return to common sense.
  2. Perhaps you could offer your services as an Alex Pollizi (sp) Hotel Inspector kind of makeover person.
  3. Well yes. VAT is not a bill, Wages and ITIP are also not bills. It’s a bit disingenuous to say that. That said it’s a shame to see the likes of this restaurant failing. I’ve been there on a couple of occasions and it’s been very good and at at least 80% capacity but prices on the high side.
  4. So half dead drug users. Oh yes that makes perfect sense now.
  5. You’ve still not got it right . The article says older people ( boomers) are 58% more likely to watch trans porn than younger people. Not the same at all.
  6. Well it’s not a begging letter. It’s asking for the balance of any tax due owing on the amount you have earnt, or income received. Not a difficult concept to grasp I would have thought.
  7. That’s not what the article says at all. That’s a complete misrepresentation. You need to read it properly.
  8. Indeed it is. I pay £54 for 60 prescriptions per year. It’s hard to complain about that.
  9. Ah yes, the much hackneyed “racists”
  10. Is it a “waste” of water, washing cars washing up, paddling in the stuff, making beer with it etc? Thats why God gave us water
  11. I think it’s quite good that Yousaf is leading the SNP into oblivion and that the UK could have Angela Rayner as UK Deputy Prime Minister. She has more balls than most of the male politicians.
  12. I didn’t know that was an option. But yes absolutely.
  13. I’d be happy to rent one of mine out for a nominal fee.
  14. Was there a big fuss from the Bride populace about making an “ unfair” contribution to the costs of waste disposal in the north? Or did the Bride Commissioner's just decide they would take this action on their behalf? Was there any sort of consultation or was it all hatched up in a quiet corner of the Bride Tea Rooms? Surely somewhere along the way the formula for allocating costs must have been agreed by the various bodies? Why are Bride now crying foul?
  15. I believe he got locked up for harassment. I think you can take the social media bit out of the equation. People have been punished for harassment well before the advent of the internet. Weirdos harass people for all sorts of reasons, not just for being opposed to vaccinations. Quite right he should face justice. (And I’m no fan of Dr Glover but that’s irrelevant)
  16. Whatever, very easy to renew your ( exorbitant) car tax online. Fill in form online, tax disc in post next day
  17. Well of course they want to be re- elected. That’s not a dishonorable objective. But I don’ think that’s all. Why not want to make changes whether you or I think those changes are right or wrong? In your job ( assuming you have one ) would you be happy to be subject to a public vote every five years as to whether you get a new contract? There are many MHK’s who I don’t have time for, some which I do. But you’ve got the opportunity to speak and listen to them at these public meetings. What’s your beef?
  18. Well would it be hilarious if us in the Isle of Man were pointing the finger at the state of Texas executing someone because they have capital punishment there?
  19. Well it’s another case of “damned if they do, damned if they don’t”. I understand your cynicism but it’s no use bleating that the politicians don’t listen to the public when these events are ostensibly put on for that purpose. It’s what happens ( or more particularly what doesn’t happen) afterwards as a result that may give you cause to complain. Moaning about these “ dick waving” events before they have even taken place serves no purpose. Would you rather they didn’t happen?
  20. Well I think those sort of decisions are best left to those who have the technical expertise and experience to make them.
