Slim
Ghost town: A romcom with enough dark humor to make it interesting for blokes too. Gervais almost manages to play a character that isn't himself too. Really enjoyed it, despite meself.
oogie boogie
51st State is very funny. Still need to see Ghost Town, but a guy in the office has said it's very good.

girl89
Watched Meet Dave the other night, was quite funny. Gabrielle Union made it more enjoyable to watch, she's hot. Absolutely loved Meet Dave! Hilarious.
Saltire
Yep Rise of the Footsoldier is a brilliant film. If you've not seen This is England check that out too.I watched Ed Wood last night. That was quite good. Dead Set tonight I was disappointed with This Is England, shame as I was looking forward to it as I prefer British films to most of the Hollywood ones. I didn't think there was much of a story to it, and it didn't really capture the 80's either. However on the subject of Shane Meadows films, ever seen Dead Man's Shoes? That's an excellent film starring Paddy Considine.

Me too. I'd expected quite a lot of the film and it never felt like it really got going. It certainly didn't match with my experiences of the 80s either - but then I did grow up in Peel. oogie boogie
Deadmans Shoes is faultless in my mear eyes. Paddy Considine is brilliant in it. It took me a few double takes before I realised it was him in 24 hour party people.
victorian dad
"Dark Knight", well after all the hype I was really disappointed. What's with the phoney gruff Batman voice? After all he's just a cock in a rubber frock. I thought “Batman Returns” was much more entertaining film.
Spartacus
Deadmans Shoes is faultless in my mere eyes. Paddy Considine is brilliant in it. It took me a few double takes before I realised it was him in 24 hour party people. "Don't mention the elephant!" "Too late, he mentioned the elephant.." A seminal British movie. Rocketman
The Great Dictator, Chaplins a genious. The pianist was rubbish though and some little urchin in front of me was playing with his gas mask all the way through it.
