Tarne
Not a particularly rare occurrence, pilots are trained for such matters. Could have shut down the engine due to a warning light or many other things. Losing an engine doesn't mean the engine has fallen off (well, usually) But either way, the Manchester is tech tonight and cancelled.
Annoymouse
I can only see the tweet from IOM Airport saying it turned back with engine problems.

gettafa
To lose one engine may be regarded as misfortune, to lose two looks like carelessness

ellanvannin2010
I hope the passengers got a better hotel provided than I did when the same aircraft broke down in Manchester on Tuesday evening, stuck out in a shabby hotel near Warrington. The ground handling agents, Menzies, were abysmal in both attitude and abilty to organise anything.
