Actually, Joseph McCarthy has been largely vindicated by history. He was right all along about a communist agenda and he has been demonised for it by the very people responsible. He was actually the victim of a coordinated demonisation campaign. In a republic, people do not have a right to push to remove the republic and install a communist regime.
