All of it Andy.

They don't need a phone for the supplier to contact their meter by GSM

GSM will only work in an area where there's a signal. I'd love MUA to install the same in my own & in-law's house. I have to go to the top of the garden to get a signal.

Just wondering if these meters could charge different rates depending in the time of day.......?????

Well, why wouldn't they? After all, we are the centre of the universe when it comes to global communications. We have world class resilient communications... http://www.whereyoucan.com/Locate/Telecoms.aspx

Can we not just use the £18m to pay down more of the debt, and revisit this when it is paid off?

Now look Derek I have always been a fan of yours, but don't come on here suggesting government behave responsibly with our money, you know that isn't going to happen !!

Indeed.

They'll probably install it at the top of your garden then.......

Over 40,000 Inc industrial commercial and retail.

Most industrials require KVa meters...phase variations etc.

This is quite interesting...

..or how a predicted MEA £18m might soon balloon.
