The ‘supermarket’ sells Asian foods, not just for Chinese. The IOM has a large Filipino community, working in the Health Sector, Nobles and Care Homex.

Is that layering or integration?

Anyone else noticed that www.kgvip.com is still up and functioning? I thought the license was suspended…..

Not sure how functioning the site actually is.  I can't see how you could register and you have to log in to interact, so it's possible they have left something up so players can access their accounts.  But there's nothing there to indicate they are no longer licenced - quite the opposite.

That license expired in 2022.

Yes, to supervise the Casino and allow us to open one.  Here's an RTE report on its evils from 1966.

Thanks Roger, I guessed it was based on the opening of the Casino, but thought it was a bit of a stretch to say it was established then.  It was probably a board, which would have gone through several emanations since then.

At that time there was only one casino allowed.* What else were they responsible for then?  Bookies?  I have a very vague recollection of there being one bookmaker back then, with a local name, I think.  But there were not very many and there may have been none prior to the mid-1960s.  Will have to do some Googling.

They do say they were established in 1962 on their website, so there must be some basis to trace their history from then.

ETA * The 1990 Casinos Act allowed for a maximum of 2 land based casinos.

Looking at her prices, it’s extortion.

Just kidding. IoM factor that you pay a vast multiple for stuff that costs pennies here. Sadly.
