I don’t get this thread. Yes most in the echochamber don’t like progressive, lefty wokeflake politics but I wouldn’t say there was either a disinterest in alternative views or that Joney is doing anything other than being consistent with her position / politics re Palestine. -

The sea services agreement is minimum crossing numbers, maximum fares, a % of fares at a discount, specifies types of vessel. What’s wrong with that? Most other things are regulated and quite rightly the state takes an interest in lifeline goods and connectivity for humans. If left to the market there’d be freight and no grumbling know it all passengers for most of the year.

I had sciatica earlier this year and ended up going to a local chiropractic clinic. I’ve had 12 weeks of traction sessions on lower back and been given a decent exercise regime and all seems ok since. I’ve seen a lot of sports physios over the years and there’s lots of crossover with what they do.

It’s an IMO requirement to crew a vessel in harbour and 14 days on/off is pretty standard. That seems to be the sticking point and from employer side it’s probably a ball ache to roster anything shorter.

There’s a definite disconnect between quality of services, schools and infrastructure between the current offering and the type expected by the sort of 100k earners that the hnwis business owners want to attract to their businesses. I don’t see the Chamber of Commerce coming up with any solutions to that any time soon. There really is a grown up discussion to be had about tax which doesn’t involve Government is shit.
