  1. ETA - MR have now changed it to: "Tributes have been paid to former MHK and MLC Dominic Delaney."
  2. Fair enough, but on MR's Web Page they just referred to him as "Former MHK"
  3. Never mind the quality - feel the width!
  4. I wonder why MR are not mentioning that Mr Delaney was also an MLC?
  5. AFAIK they are still blowing n the wind up on Marine Drive.
  6. Agreed! I fear that Alfie's statement on Tuesday will just be yet another fudge.
  7. Maybe you are thinking of KLB? Man in the Pub says she is very close to Alfie.
  8. Nah - I don't trust all this new-fangled electrickery stuff. I prefer to go down the Post Office armed with various documents. (And I can also meet my mates Compo, Clegg and Foggy, there.)
  9. Yep - I was thinking. . . "I hope he is not as wet as he sounds!"
  10. Now then! Let's have no more of that malarkey!
  11. The chief minister insists he didn't instruct the Department of Health and Social Care to pursue a high court appeal in relation to an employment tribunal, but he did offer an opinion. So - "Nothing to do with ME, mate!"
  12. And will soon be spotted in Castletown Harbour.
  13. More strange use of the English Language by the MR Journos: Tia Watts, and her friend Cian will jump off a plane on 5 August in Grange over Sands with the aim of raising £1,000 for the Alzheimer's Society. Normally people jump from a plane. (Unless they plan to climb out onto the wing before making the leap of faith?)
  14. I find it demeaning when the our politicians engage in juvenile spats on Social Media. FFS!
  15. Don't worry - Tim Glover has held his hands up, so it is gonna be OK!
  16. "Rob The Gob" is an apt moniker.
  17. Government has committed to look at options to open up Sulby Claddagh for overnight camping for as much of the season as possible. That includes reopening overnight camping at the site for the TT period and potentially more of the remainder of the season. That was the pledge made by DEFA Minister, Clare Barber and Ayre & Michael MHK's Alfred Cannan and Tim Johnston at a public meeting held at the Sulby Glen Hotel last night (1 March). What a pity they hadn't thought if doing that months ago!
  18. Maybe reneging comes with the name? IIRC another "Nice But Dim" reneged on a Manifesto promise when he was first elected in Peel, some time ago.

    Firm closing

    Spot on, Glad! (As usual)
  20. Yep - they need to be charged regularly.
  21. Yep - the one on the left is a Thunderbird, and the one on the right is a Cougar.. . . right?
