sarahc
Who says the IOM ain't different? 1976 - heatwave all over Britain. In the Isle of Man it rains. * 2009 - loads of snow in Britain. In the Isle of Man we have a beautiful blue sky all day. * I am not old enough to remember this, I was told it by someone else!

There was hardly any rain, and most of the reservoirs were drying up - so much so, you could see buildings that were submerged when the reservoir was created. Not seen that before or since here. GD4ELI
With all this fuss - will we be hearing the emergency siren when it snows? I remember it hailstoning at the QB on 2nd July some years ago, and it didn't seem a cold day either. Also on Thursday 23 November 2006 on the island it reigned idiots. Hail's different - in Germany / Switzerland we can get massive hailstorms in the middle of summer.
