quilp
Addiction to nicotine is an addiction as strong as heroin or drink. When a skag-head or alcoholic is banged-up they are given immediate chemical assistance to help cope with their loss. It's a sensible move. Bill showing he's compassionate and progressive all at the same time.

Mr Bear
The "specialist" e-cigarette is see through and doesn't look like a real cigarette. Strangely enough the cheapest e-cigarettes from places like Poundworld are also made with see-through plastic cases, but with a sticky label around them. If you remove the label they look just like the one in that article. And they cost a pound. I suspect the "special prison version" will cost a lot more than a pound. Probably £20 each or worse, because some freeloading parasite will be involved in the supply chain. They could just give them the Poundland rechargeable kits instead (about £5) and save a fortune. 2bees
Just ban all nicotine, they will get over it and it will be fine. Do drug and alcohol actually achieve anything?
Tarne
Do drug and alcohol actually achieve anything? Well, alcohol gets me laid.
notwell
Just ban all nicotine, they will get over it and it will be fine. Do drug and alcohol actually achieve anything? Alcohol fine. Drugs not. Neither fine in prison. It's not a holiday (or at least it shouldn't be).
2bees
I don't mean the actual drugs or alcohol, I mean Drug and Alcohol the rehabilitation people at the government (although, to be fair, I could have been more specific)
Tarne
Oh, no, not really. Generally sit around and occasionally put out a press release saying "You shouldn't smoke or drink so much"
2bees
Then perhaps it is time someone made an official complaint about them & I like writing letters
