it isn't as if they have lost the site,  yet?, more a case of it hasn't been secured for 2018 yet due to government/corpy  heel dragging.  no doubt those at the DED with their noses put out of joint are now trying to find any possible/plausible way to piss on the Bushy's TT chips.

To be fair it's a year away. It's a big smelly tent, a bar, a stage and supply.   Knowing now or knowing in two months will make fuck all difference.

While I entirely agree and personally would not choose to go there, I do think the government are being assholes and should stop messing private businesses about.

Maybe the corpy are just taking time to consider all bids and not just blindly giving the site to one who only has it because he had a shithole of a pub across the road 20 years ago and moans every year about how difficult it is.

Bollocks to the brewery but but both Jaks and Hooded Ram are at least investing in the town all year round and if they are after it deserve some consideration.

What? He's got the Rovers and the Outback, and the place in Port Erin so he's is clearly investing in the IOM all year round. Martin also invests into the live music and the bands which is better entertainment than most put on. It's been great down there most of the week. It's a proven formula so why don't they just let him renew? It's as much a part of the TT as the racing is now. Not that the clueless twats in the DED or the Corpy want to acknowledge it though. The Hooded Ram beer is largely expensive piss and the new pub is awful and needs a lot of re-thinking.

A beer tent is a beer tent. There is nothing particularly unique about it.  It's a basic formula and I expect several parties are more than interested.    It won't make a jot of difference to most of the people going to a tent on the prom for a beer
