It's what they do  though isn't it ,these highly paid movers and shakers ,who in reality could not pick a winning ticket in a one man raffle!

Observe a guy build up a business , put his own money in and take the risks  make a success of it and then decide that they can do it better to much fanfare, and when it inevitably goes tits up they disappear back into the shadows .

I feel sorry for Martin ,a guy with big history on the Island who obviously loves the place ,being fucked about by people not fit to lace his boots!

Has the brewery abandoned the prom/Villa then?

The prom is a focal point at TT and as much as its shit drinking in a tent ontop of a sticky car park, the atmosphere and more importantly visitors make bushys a massive hit.

Not having something as big as Bushys down on the prom just doesn't make sense.

It's sounds like assumptions are being made by people with no idea.

When does the lease expire?

Give it a fucking rest government boy.

Let's see, who are the opposition? Are Hooded Ram new bff's with Douglas? They (or more so their benefactor) are amazing and have dragged a sizable corner of Douglas out of the Pitts of despair, creating jobs, restaurants, pubs & a brewery. Much as I love Bushy's, I have to admit Hooded Ram are 'doing it for Douglas'. There should be no loyalty in business deals with the government/council, they're supposed to get the best deal.

We thought the Okell's beer tent at the Villa was good. It wasn't trying to be an imitation of Bushy's but good in its own way. All the entertainment was shifted down there - monster bikes, Purple Helmets dispay, Quill (!) in the Promenade suite, stuff in the Villa gardens etc. The two areas complemented each other

Those 3-4? years formula were good for the TT.

^That's a good interview with Martin. He is a decent bloke with a good ethos, and you can see how he has succeeded. Laid back but still has an edge.
